So sorry for your loss!... read your words & understand & agree with every statement! Time does not heal or lessen the pain of missing our sons. Our hearts are mortally broken...into a million pieces. We are so sad that Jason had to leave you. We too struggle with that word....why can't we make our minds understand they're not coming back? Our Aaron was 30 & was killed by 3 cars as he crossed a busy street. It was 9:31 pm but in front of not one not two but 3 car lots with bright lights - the street was lit up like daylight. Yes he had on dark clothes but the witnesses & people who hit him remem-ber his white tennis shoes. Boy so do we. We were called to the hosp & drove right by the accident site... there were about 7 police cars etc still there -- but no ambulance. I knew as soon as I saw those flashing lights. Please God let that be a roadblock for some-thing else. NOT MY SON! Then as we drove by I saw his SHOE in the middle of the road. Many days after that we went to the police station to pick up his things in a paper bag. I still haven't looked in it & that was last Nov 08!! His Dad did though - & said it's his shoes & knit cap. His Dad is obsessed with going to the spot on the road where he lay. We've put up a cross & an angel & some flowers. I spend more time at the cemetery. Sorry I didn't mean to just talk about our loss. I just am grateful to read your words & know that someone understands how we feel!! Jason's site is beautiful & I lit a candle for him. Thanks for lighting one for Aaron.
